A great early seventies rock single here - organ riffs aplenty and a killer guitar one too - check out that big double guitar - I'm amazed he could hold it up, let alone play it.
The original single was edited, but you can't really beat the full six minute plus version with its proggy organ-guitar interplay, although the shorter one is still eminently listenable. Argent specialised in extended length singles - God Gave Rock 'n' Roll To You and It's Only Money were their other two notable ones. Singer Russ Ballard went on to achieve considerable success as a songwriter with other artists as the seventies progressed - Hot Chocolate's So You Win Again, Rainbow's Since You've Been Gone and I Surrender, Hello's New York Groove and Santana's Winning spring to mind.
